Hi, I’m 55 and have fibromyalgia and chronic migraine. I’ve ridden on and off since a child. Back again the last four years. Try to ride twice a week, just hacking 40/60 minutes.
Mostly walk, some trot and occasional canter. On my sons cob.
I often get fibromyalgia pain and migraine, post riding, annoyingly.
I’m trying to do everything I can to get as comfortable in the saddle as possible. And to make riding as Gentle on my body as possible.
Has anybody experience of this, who can recommend stirrup irons that may help with the post riding pain please?
Thanks

Really depends on budget and where you get the pain. I have some compositi reflexes that are light and have a wide cushioned footbed that I love and are reasonably priced. I also have compositi ellipses which have a safety arm as well but they are pricey. I'm not keen on the sprenger type but some people really rate them.

A wide tread is good for fatigue and some form of shock absorbing is good for knees and ankles I think.

Thank you, very much
