I had my field sprayed with docstar a few weeks back. The docs all withered and the grass was still green so after approx 2 weeks I let the minis on it. There has been one downpour of rain since it was sprayed. Over the last 4 days it’s gotten progressively more scorched looking and I’m not sure it’s just the lack of rain now. The buttercups however are growing in clumps.

I’ve removed the minis and they will monitor them for any ailment but what can I do about my field? Should I top it and hope for rain then reseed? I have one orange field and one practically bare dirt field. Minis look fab though.

When my field was similar I just strimmed the buttercups. I put seed down last month and wish I hadn't. We haven't had any rain, so no growth, so it was probably a waste of money. I'd wait it out now until the autumn and deal with it for next year personally.

Strim the buttercups but leave the grass. Even though it's brown it's better long so it has more surface area to process nutrients etc. Also any dew as water.

Seed would be bird food unless we get rain.

If you can get a flail mower instead of a topper it'll smash up all the cut down buttercups and mulch them into nutrients for the grass. A topper will just cut i neatly and the butter cup (if in thick clumps) might risk killing the grass underneath the cut clumps.

And do a rain dance? I'm doing one here very soon.

I can ask the neighbour but I’m not sure if they have one. Worst case I can get dad to go over it on the lawn mower that’ll keep him busy for a few days 😂
