Field friend with atypical myopathy

My horse is turned out overnight in a 18 acre field with 6 others. One of his field mates has been diagnosed with atypical myopathy. Thankfully it looks like it's been caught early enough and he should recover.
We're going to be taking action by fencing off the corner where the tress have been found... Unfortunately not on our land so we're currently not able to get rid of the tree.
Would you get the vet out for your own horse just for an MOT to check that all is in order incase he's been effected but not yet showing signs.

Yes, I would definitely chat with the vet. Atypical myopathy can come on really suddenly with tragic results. Better to be safe than sorry.

I think blood tests should show up if there's a hint of any muscle damage so for the sake of £100 I'd be asking the vet for a check over.

Let's hope the other horse continues to improve - been an awful year
