Field lick for joints/mobility

Looking for recommendations for a field lick for joints/mobility I can put out for my 17 year horse, he's in good health, loves running around the field and is hacked out regularly. He's not getting any food to add supplements in and am only really looking as when stretching his legs before going out you hear his joints crack

I think most of the licks are molasses-based, which isn't ideal for every horse. A lot of them won't pace themselves when being offered it, and will finish the whole lick within a few days. Can you maybe get a joint supplement in pellet form and feed it as a treat by hand, e.g. http://www.bluechipfeed.com/product/blue-chip-dynamic/

I agree with Npage123 - they're molasses based, and they won't necessarily have the same amount each day.

I do use the horselyx mobility and I thought my guys would guzzle but they didnt.

Yes molasses based but hasn't done any of mine any harm.
