It's getting to the time of year when mine don't need hard feed. I still like to make sure the they have adequate vitamins/minerals, are any of the fields licks any good?
They always have access to a Salt lick which they use a lot. I need to avoid molasses/sugar as they would binge

We used to get Horselyx and then the Likit ones occasionally as they're more sugary I believe (that might have changed).

I would also like low sugar mineral/vitamin licks for my two and other than the Simple Systems salt and magnesium tub I’ve found nothing remotely suitable. They are all packed full of molasses and rubbish so I’ve asked Science Supplements whether they would consider producing a viable alternative. There is definitely a huge gap in the market unless I’ve missed something blindingly obvious while searching.

I also looked for a lick last year that would be suitable for my laminitic, sadly could not find anything suitable that wasn't full of mollasses so had to stick with a tiny meal of chaff with powdered supplement. There is definately a gap in the market for something like this.

I just give them a good old Himalayan salt lick. They have them in their stables, and I have noticed they have been using them more than normal when they come in so I’m going to take my spare one out to the field tomorrow :)

Just the Himalayan salt licks in stables and fields. I always feed a balancer when out 24/7. The licks all seem full of crap and my 2 would binge.
