I need to get my field topped and the hedges cut back in the inside so it's not on my electric fence, anyone know roughly what I should expect to pay for this?

Also need it sprayed for ragwort again no idea on how much this will be.

I'm going to ask the farmer next door if he wants to do it but have no idea of costs.

Our local farmer is always £80. That was the price for fields rolled and chain harrowed in the spring and then again for hedge cutting this autumn. Oh and also muck heap removal. Seems that £80 covers anything 🤣 I don’t think we are all that far from you so might be a good guide.

It is, I've used a tree surgeon for hedging and grass cutting and he charges far more but the upside is you know when he's going to turn up - the farmer just arrives when he's got nothing else on!
Yeah I know sounds like our farmer as well, I do know someone who can clear the hedges so they were my back up.

Get a hedge cutter and a flail mower - field maintenance is addictive 😂
I have a very small hand hedge cutter and have done the worse bits but it will take me forever to do the whole lot 😂

I may invest in a sit on mower at some point but it's got a bit out of hand for that at the moment, so once it's under control I may be able to keep it down in between.

It's so different from last year, isn't it? My fields were all brown and crunching when you walked over them, and feeding hay from June - never a dull moment!
