I was looking at laying some field mats and need some way to hold them down I have found 200mm metal U shaped pegs which are big enough was just wondering if having metal pegs could hurt the horse if it stands on it ( the sharp end will be in the ground so it would just be a thin flat piece of metal on the surface) the ground is to hard to put plastic pegs in so can’t do that. If that is not suitable is there any other ways or suggestions to try and hold the mats down and together? The mats are being put in an are that has no grass and it rock solid in the summer month and a bog in the winter. The mats would be to soften the area for the horses to stand on. Thanks
