Field safe headcollar

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations, my mare is becoming more awkward to catch, resulting in me having to catch the other two first So am thinking of trying a field safe headcollar

In my experience the rubber band ones break all the time and the velcro ones don't break at all

If it were me I'd invest in a thin cheap indian leather headcollar which will stay together if you're leading her in and she has a spook but will break if caught in a branch etc.

do you have any links to cheap ones, all the ones I look at on ebay are so called double strength

I tend to pick them up a horsey car boot sales or the local second hand shop they're usually about £3 so I really don't care when they get trashed!

I have a Fieldsafe one. It is put together with the lowest 'breaking' load strap and has come apart when he spooked & pulled back when tied up once.(Along with the 'safety' tie up rope:/ )

Any leather one will be fine. I only said cheap as there is no point getting an expensive one for in the field. Either the leather will break or the stitching will. If you go for one that costs you about £20 or less it will not be 'super strength', top quality leather so will be perfectly safe.
