Good evening,

I'm moving my horses to a new field (which doesn't have a shelter).

I have my own portable stable walls that I'm taking with me and ideally I'd turn these into a field shelter (put a roof and 3 walls on).

just curious to see if anybody has heard of someone doing something similar or has any tips?

I'm hoping to do this for as cheap as possible (naturally)!
Thanks :)

I did similar. Don’t scrimp on the thickness of the frame or it ends up flimsy. Mine is fixed to the ground with metposts which gives it strength.

Don't forget to leave a gap at the top of the back wall and second fixing it securely to the ground (we had long steel bolts into sleepers). Otherwise you will at some point have a Mary Poppins moment! We made the mistake of leaving ours unfixed for a few days (life got in the way of finishing the job) and the whole lot ended up in the next field.
