Field Shelter/ Lean-to

Hi

Does anyone know where you can get cheap field shelters? Ive looked on ebay but most are over £700.

Or does anyone know of an easy way to make a lean-to.

We need a field shelter/lean-to in our field. We have 1 wall that we can use to attach a lean-to onto.

Also what do people put on the floor of their shelters to stop them getting too muddy

Cheapest way is the old fashioned heath robinson effort.

Several half heston (sp) straw bales - the local farm should be able to give you the ones that were used as outer bales on the stack and are therefore useless.

Corrugated iron sheeting for the roof with small straw bales on top to secure it.

You'll need to redo it every year but if its only for shelter from the worse of the weather this will do the job & is about as cheap as it gets.
