Firstly can't believe my boys are o.k, the wind took out our brand new field shelter (4 weeks old!) yesterday and blew it backwards demolishing the neighbours hedge!! Its a substantial, double fronted shelter, with metal skids, damn heavy, but obviously couldn't hack the 78 mph gust that got it!!
Just soooooooooo relieved they weren't in it/near it or worst of all my old pony wasn't behind it, as that is his fav place, would've flatten him!
Also thanks to my brilliant (not that horsey) dad who left his work, came straight home and put the boys to bed as soon as it happened (he has now labled himself as the new horse whisperer, due to being able to catch two galloping horses!!) as it took me hours to get home from work with trees down/roads blocked!!
PHEWF eventually got home and bless them, they were so calm last night, considering, gave them both a nice horsey massages, lots of fuss and left them both completely chilled out !!!!!
Just need to get my "Bob the Builder" head on now and try put a new sheet thingy on the roof!!
Hope everyone else is safe.....what a day!! x
