Field shelters and water bowsers

I’m looking for any recommendations for friend shelters (midlands area or nationwide delivery)? It will have to be on skids. Also any views on the best size - probably for two horses and there’s already a brick shelter (stable sized) in the field? As long as the quality is ok, looking for the best price :).

Also any creative solutions to get water into your fields? We’be got a quad and trailer, so need something we can get on / off the trailer and leave in the field to keep water troughs topped up. I looked at those 1000l containers on eBay - but thought they’d be very heavy full. Wondered about some sort of water butt?

Mine is from Redmire - 24' by 12' with overhang. It is OK. I think good quality strong skids are essential, not that I have moved mine yet. Do you want to assemble yourself or have it assembled on site?

We can assemble it ourselves... although if it’s not too much for them to do it, that might be easier ;).
 
Second Redmire, never had a moments trouble from mine, had one at least 15yrs. They are moved often and the skids look as good as when they were first bought. They do a self assembly model and also used to sell off ex models from Country shows I believe, the men put mine together and took no time at all, one came as a special offer and I have a bolted front panel if ever needed, it can be turned into a stable with door, kick bolts, window etc........ never needed it yet so it sits in my barn. 2 horse size, no idea what that is but I didn't have overhangs but it does have guttering, I had a clear panel put in the roof which in hindsight was a bit of a waste of money but to others it would be very useful

I picked up an old, unroadworthy car trailer for next to nothing, and put my water bowser on that. It was perfectly ok to tow out to the field behind the quad bike and presumably unless your quad bike is road legal, you won't be towing on the road, so something like this would work (without costing you £399 :) )
 
Thanks everyone. Lots of good tips and suggestions :). Is there anything I could easily load onto the trailer short term for water to save buying another one straightaway? Will keep an eye out for an old trailer (or save up for the other version).

Redmire look very nice, might be out of my price range for now :)
 
we have a big plastic cube bought from an agri store fixed to an old trailer. whatever you choose make sure it has previously contained only human grade food substance. mine had had concentrated orange juice in it. you don't want one which has had chemicals cleaning stuffs etc in it.
 
I have a water tank in a cheap trailer and pump the water out into troughs using a car battery and small bilge pump. The tank is relatively easy to take out when we need to use the trailer for other things.

If you get a mobile shelter you need to make sure it has enough through ventilation in the back wall to stop it taking off in high wind like ours did! Needed a crane to get it back into the field from the road where it landed.

A wanted advert on Freecycle or similar for a car trailer and/or a large water container
Reason being a lady arrived at my gate and said she was going to put her unroadworthy car trailer on freecycle but asked if I would like it first for my goats. The goats love it and when the weather is nice, they play on it for ages

I use one of those IBC containers collecting rain water off the shelter guttering. This winter I could of filled up half a dozen! You can get hose attachments for them from ebay which work a treat as long as the container is fairly full and you don't want the water to go uphill. May have to bring water from home in dry weather though.
