Oak's not nearly so much of a problem as sycamore. Either fence off, and/or pick up as many as you can, but if they do manage to munch a couple it's not usually such a big deal (it's mostly a problem if you get one that gets a real taste for them). Sycamore is much more toxic in much smaller quantities, including leaves and especially seedlings, and the seeds blow bloody miles.
