Got down the yard tonight and my field which is now being rested has lakes on it and the one which I have just moved them onto after having it cut for hay has gripes full of water - about 6 inches deep ! Thinking I will have to shut them in tomorrow on the yard/arena to rest the land - should have done it tonight but couldt bring myself to do it in August !!!

Hope everyone else is fairing better !

We have a badly drained corner in our field. Its normally a pond throughout winter then dires out come spring. However this is the first time in 14 yrs it has,nt dried out and we have ducks coots and canada geese in residence !,..............your not alone

Clay land? I feel your pain! I've moved off my yard for two months to rest it as it took quite a battering with all the rain earlier in the year.

I know it will dry out but I am hoping it will be a dry winter as otherwise my 2 will almost permanently be off the land.

Freaky weather seems to be right across the country !

I had a lesson this morning and just as I was untacking the monsoon began! I drove the 30 minutes home and everywhere was flooded. Made for an interesting drive home towing!
