So I've bought a fieldsafe headcollar for the youngsters with rubber rings as breaking points. No intention of actually leaving it on in the field, but its very nice and lightweight for playing with.

It comes with several spare rubber rings which I can only assume you need to unpick stitching to replace (PITA) but OH remembers being shown how to replace the foal versions without doing this... is there a trick to it?!

You cut the rubber ring and thread it through the ends and then glue it back together with super glue.

Then you get fed up of the glue, gluing everything except the rubber ring and buy some leather shoelaces (cut them into shorter lengths, thread through headcollar, tie knot) and use them instead. ;)

Yep I got fed up with glue. I used one of these head collars to put a sun visor over my ponys pink nose....in the few days this summer when we did see the sun:eek:
