Apologies for posting in here too, but I thought more people are likely to read this!

My 23 year old TB has been suffering with filled legs recently. He is out 24/7 at the moment on fairly good grass. He has always had really good legs up until the last few weeks, although they would fill if standing in the stable or the day after hunting, etc. Just wondered what anyone else's thoughts are on this, is it just likely to be the protein in the grass, or something more sinister at his age? I am a bit worried as he does have a heart murmour, although this hasn't caused him any problems up until now.

Hi

I have an ID/TB mare who is 16 and she had the same symptoms shortly after being turned out 24/7 instead of during the day, they were quite swollen and looked liked the beginnings of lymphangitus, however I took her off the grass for 24 hours and then gradually increased the time out over a week and this week she is back out 24/7 and fine.
