filly foal born last night!!

at last my maiden mare foaled last night foal is quite big and very stong lilly my mare has been an amazing mum will try and post some photos!!

she has concorde on both sides shes like her dad though lots of energy hasnt really stopped cantering and bucking round the stable since she was up on her feet!!!

I'm so glad to see you have at least put those rugs over those bars, I would be very worried if they were left as open bars as the foal could get stuck in them; that would be a dreadful waste and very traumatic. If you can find something flat and solid to go over those bars, so much the better, you would be amazed at what antics foals can get up to when they can get stuck in the least likely thing.

not lucky just dont leave them this was done as a temp measure as she wod not seatle in a stable and was very stressed till she had her friend rite there have 24 hr cctv and have not left the place now she has foal she is very seatled and has move to a stable had to deal with the situation at the time!!!!!!!!

Well done on thinking so quickly and thank you for the update; it just shows you pictures don't always tell the whole truth! Sorry if you thought I was speaking out of turn but those bars with a foal gave me a fright.
