I took the plunge and turned them out together this morning.

I made sure there was lots of hay, and pushed the fence out to give a strip of new grass. My thought was to eliminate resource-sharing concerns.

Mim was in full arab mode when she saw the hay. Hay is a winter thing, and I think she couldn’t get her head around it’s presence in the field.

When she worked out it wasn’t going to eat her, she settled to eat it. We had one skitter around and ears back whilst she taught Arizona to respect her space.

And then they were happily munching so I took Mim’s headcollar off and I’ve left them to it.
