Hi there. Back in the 70s I enjoyed a film titled International Velvet with Tatum O’Neil. I can’t find it anywhere. Does anybody know where I can watch it, or purchase it?

I love International Velvet in all its 70s glory. If I remember rightly Lots of British Eventing stars of the day are in the cross country scenes Richard Meade is definitely in it. Tatum o’neal does a great job riding and I love the soundtrack

And umm until this is flagged by YouTube

Production wise it has an interesting history - Bryan Forbes had mixed success heading EMI but had secured decent funding from MGM in the USA to produce the film. Hence the multiple locations, decent acting talent, a Francis Lai soundtrack and a lot of work in preproduction training Tatum O Neal who was a big star in her own right at the time. If the film was a success it was thought MGM would plough money into EMI which was struggling. Unfortunately it received mixed reviews and didn’t give Bryan Forbes the money he’d hoped.
