I have had enough!! Went out to field this morning to find my grey has decided he wants to be dark bay & has gone to alot of effort to change colour, using mud as the prefered "dye".

This is a regular thing & now that summer seems to have left us, I cannot cope. I cannot bath, as it is too cold but also cannot groom that amount of dirt off either (it could probably re-turf a small garden)!! Thats not taking into account the grass stains, rust marks & yellow dots off the daisies...

Who in there right mind would want a grey..?

Rant over now.

Going for new lightweight today!! He will, however, still manage to get filthy everywhere that is exposed around the rug...

I asked myself that same question when i was grooming mud off my piebald (in sig below) yesterday. no-one else comes in as muddy as him

I ask myself this every day. My horse is grey and I currently have a friends horse to compete who is grey as well

I've already bathed one horse earlier in the week and am hoping he'll stay clean for BSJA on Saturday...

I don't let anyone see my greys in the winter...they're not grey anyway, more a rust brown colour!!!

Daughters dun stays so clean we don't even need to bath him for shows, quick brush anbd a bit of show shine ....sorted.

I do love greys though......they look lovely when (ha!) they are clean

I don't know how she does it but Kels manages to get mud on every bit of exposed bodywork, but her fly rug's hardly got a mark on it.

And I was combing her tail out the other day, and I had to peer closely at it to see what was causing a particularly evil tangle. My own dark blonde hair fell forward on to her tail and it was almost the exact same colour.
