Final blood test results-EMS

Hey guys. Thanks for all the help with the EMS and IR query I've had the test results back now he has got EMS, the vet has told me he needs to go on a diet ( I am fully aware of this) she has said that he needs lo lose between .5% and 1% of his bodyweight per week and given us a target of getting down to 300kg in 6 months?

I HOPE we can do this I am determined. anyone got any motivational skills? I have to weigh him monthly and take photos of to keep a track of it.

We weigh ours weekly, so that we can tweak the diet accordingly, a horse can put an awful lot of weight on in a month.

curio - He's lami so thats a contribution towards it, He put on lots of weight over a short period of time and became REALLY cresty

my gypsy cob puts weight on too easy and is very hard to slim down he also gets a thick crest quickly and has fat pads behind his shoulders, hes never had lami yet and want to keep it that way
thinking he may be a little bit ems so trying to manage him as a lami horse
