Well.....it was going to be pictures.....but so far i have only managed to successfully get one on here!

Will update as soon as i can get more! :D

LOL!!

Here we go - take it you are putting the pics online first? somewhere like www.photobucket.com?

if it's there ( recommended site) when you put your mouse pointer over the picture, 4 links suddenly show up underneath. You want the last one which starts

Mouse over the link, right click and select copy. Back to the forum and in your message composition window thingy right click again and select paste. Click preview button underneath before you post and you should see your post come up with the picture in it.

Hope this helps.

Lovely horse BTW. Definitely looking at the camera warily.. :)

Sleepeeze_dad.......ah that might be where i was going wrong!!! i hadnt put them in photobucket....
i will retry!!!

Hi Lialls, thank you very much.....although hardly any of the pictures have uploaded even using photo bucket!......definately have to get the OH on the case tonight!
I was really sorry to read your post earlier and see you were having such troubles with your pony.
I really hope you find a solution that is the best for you and your horse. I think project horses may be an idea, but failing that, rather than having the pony PTS im sure someone would have it as a companion. Or failing that, rather than trying to do something straight away maybe hold back trying to ride for a bit and just do some ground work whilst saving up for someone to do some professional schooling.
Fingers crossed you get everything sorted. x

Ooooh lovely horse! and at least now i know where my cat has been going during the day! That cat is the spit of my cat:eek: :D

LOL sarah......paddy certainly loves his cat....the cat sits on the stable door for hours and paddy stands with his nose resting on it. The cat isnt a big fan tho when he sneezes and blows him off of the top of the stable door!!! :D

He looks lovely, and what a nice clean yard not a speck of mud in sight, unlike my muddy area. Have fun and enjoy him

Thank you selkie....he is lovely and the yard is wonderfull, really clean and tidy and not alot of mud around so i am very spoilt!

So this is the Herbie impersonater is it? :p ;) :D
He looks lovely. Hows he going now? Still improving? Looks like you will have alot of fun with him when you get him sorted. :)

Lol Laura, it certainly is the Herbie impersonator!!!
Well, we are still progressing slowly.
I still havent tried to hack him out alone yet....people keep telling me to continue with the slow and steady progress rather than trying to go out too soon and going backwards!
We have had one or 2 hiccups.....i tried to ride him last week in the school on his own...i had a raging migraine, it was blowing a gale and sleeting and there was the air ambulance circling over the yard...needless to say i got to the end of the arena, he decided to try and buck me off...i gave up and took him back as i was too ill to battle with him!
The next day i took him in the school he tried the bucking thing but i span him round tight a few times, made him go forwards and he went lovely after that.
Last thurs we went for a fantastic ride with another horse...no nappyness...not too much spooking, it was lovely.
He had 4 days off as i was away over easter so lastnight i took him in the school...he was not going to walk and didnt want to trot...in his mind...he was going to jog/prance....rather than let him get away with that i made him trott on nicely and he was brilliant...even thought the cows were charging about next to him. I had mum on jump duty so i did loads of jumping and we had a great time!
I am getting used to his tantrums now....and how to manage them so hopefull we will make some real progress!
I think i may have even recruited the OH to come out on his bike next to me the first few times we go out alone!......pity for him even tho paddy is 14.2.....he out walks my friends race horse.....so give it a week and the OH will be fit enough to do the tour de france ;-) he he

LOL i feel sorry for your OH. But i think i'm gonna get my OH to walk out with me and Herbie soon but atleast herbie does a funeral march pace everywhere and OH will get lots of breaks while Herbie is routed to the spot. :p
Glad your boy is still improving and i agree with the slow and steady progress being the best way. You'll get there in the end.
Herbie had 2 weeks off due to me being ill and it was raining non stop. I Lunged him yesterday and he leaped and Bucked lots in the first 5 mins but then he settles down and had a look on his face as if to say "oh yes i don't get away with that here. Sorry i forgot" and he was as good as gold for the rest of the sesion. Today i lunged him again and he had another tantrum at the start but soon gave up. So it wasn't a step to far backwards after two weeks off thank god. I am trying to work out when i can ride him out again and weather i should try him on his own. But i don't want to undo all the work i have done so far. But finding someone to ride out with is proving hard and it's gonna get harder soon.
Nevermind. Well done for all your progress. Keep up the good work. :)

Thats great news that after that much time off he has his funny 5 mins and then settles down, it sounds like he is improving no end!
I have to admit i struggle with finding people to ride out with at the yard who ride out when i am there. Alot of people ride during the day. The others that ride in the evenings are generally quite nervy....and worry that paddy may make their horses jumpy!! so there is only one person i can ride with but. So i make the most of every time she is at the yard when i am!
Its so tempting isnt it to try and run before we can walk so to speak....every time i want to go and take paddy out alone....but i know it could backfire on me and then we would be back to square 1!!
We will get there eventually laura!!! Keep up the awesome work with herbie the little monkey!!
