So had a saddle fitted today

(Thanks To Everyone for their fitter suggestions!)

It took about 2 1/2 hours to do and was very thorough !!

I tried 5 saddles and rode in them all and the two I liked best and that Java went in freely I jumped in!

I eventually went for an.....

Ideal Impala Pro Jump ( it's mono flap) and comes with a leather girth and calfskin leathers

It's super comfy and my leg position is better

Before Java was sluggish in the impala he was rather fast and he jumped better than he ever has! Really flicking his back end up and clearing the fences!

So I have one happy horsey ( and me of course ) and bank of my gran to pay until we sell our Jeffries Falcon Hawk Event

So glad it's sorted now and rather excited about my first lesson in it
 
Yay! I've recently got saddle-sorted too, after nearly a year of having various "saddle fittings" and paying hugely for the privelege.

Horse is going brill at the mo; he's got a lovely elevated trot which I never knew existed!

He moved really open and free in the monoflap I was really surprised !

He seems all round happier too even when just being at field doing general things like mucking out and stuff he is cheekier etc!
 
I love Ideal saddles, I have a nightmare trying to find a saddle for my new mare. I am going to see a fantastic fitter on Saturday, he has a 2 month waiting list, can't wait to get something that fits her!

Glad you found one you liked. It's an absolute minefield.
 
Oneinamillion - I liked the Albion K2 jump but java wasn't very forward in it

I didn't like the Albion kontact lite

The normal impala java didn't go well in either and the Albion xc tipped me back a little

This new one is the 4th saddle I have had in 8 months!

Java is very sensitive which makes it harder haha

I have since ridden 3 times since I got it a week ago
(couldn't ride till sunday as didn't have short girth so fitter brought it and the leathers to cumwhinton BE)

And I have thoroughly enjoyed riding him I don't have to nag nag nag with my legs all the time!

He jumps better and will get his striding perfect

Don't know wether this is related but he doesn't forge anymore !

I'm so happy with it
