Well maybe slightly sooner than I was advised but 7 weeks of recovery and healing for my broken collar bone seemed quite enough. The boredom was really getting to me.
I had to have help tacking up as I can't lift the saddle yet but apart from that everything went well. We went for a shortish road hack as friend is still getting her Arab used to the big wide world and staying on a hard surface ensured that neither he nor my mount got any ideas about cantering. Feels really good to get back on board amd no signs of any anxiety due to my little mishap. Horray .:D:D

Yay congrats! Sounds like you are being sensible, I had a mishap too and will probably leave it another two weeks even though I have new horse! Sigh! It will probably take that long to get a saddle anyway but I want to get back on, I did do a test ride of course.

It's funny what silly things you can't do isn't it, mine is elbow related and I could probably do a bridle now but not a saddle unless it was fairly light for my other arm to do! Getting on hurts, I need a nice tall mounting block.

Thank you thank you :) I'm being very sensible . Really regretting not putting more (any) effort into keeping fit while I was off and I know where all the extra calories went too :( Shall be stiff tomorrow.
