out of his backside, and nearly gets brought down at the last!

From the start.
The big lad needs to be ridden handy, but also with plenty of cover. We knew one horse(TRM) was going to go off a million miles an hour, and that he was going to be hard to beat on fast ground - unless he went too fast. Thought there may be a few to go with him, 1 wearing a citation with muppet jockey, 1 we knew was keen (but also not much good). The other 2 were first timers, 1 with Pritch on (so could be good), the other from down south off people who know what they are doing (so could be good).
So my bros orders were to jump off up there, and if a few go off tag onto them, rather than the 2 first timers in behind. Well, no one went with TRM and he went a fence clear. Big lad was in front of the rest of the bunch, not enjoying it too much. So with a circuit to go he dropped in behind them and got a nice lead (the race was only 2m4f). Coming into the straight he made up about 20 lengths, came to the last in 3rd. Was running on strongly and would definetly have been 2nd, I think he would have got to within under 10l of the winner.
Now, told my bro, if aforementioned muppet is anywhere near him up the staright, come wide and dont get behind him. So he does that, but the muppet decides to pull his horse to the floor and come off it sideways. Big lad stopped dead on landing to have a look at the horse, jinked to go over the jockey and my bro lost his stirrup.
Got it back, but all too late. Finished 4th.
Very annoyed, he was absolutely flying home, and seeing as we have had problems with his resolution it was the last thing he needed.
Only good thing is that it has taken the pressure off me a bit. The owners wanted to out him last year, but I persuaded them all he needed was time to strengthen up.
Just hope he will run as promising next week.
Photos to follow - on my sisters camera and she hasnt got out of bed yet!

Oh dear, how frustrating but at least horse and jockey finished sound and I bet they'll be in the frame next time. My grandaughter finished 3rd yesterday but there were only three runners

They were pleased with the horse though, not too far off and he's definitely improving

I know you're pissed off now, but sounds like he had an easy race which will surely bring him on nicely for next week (i'm sure the jinx looking at the other horse wouldn't effect him at all??)

Tell your bro to sit a bit tighter next time!! Ruby can manage it
