And if it doesn't work this time I'm going to give up, go to bed and weep quietly
crazy.gif
! Either that or employ a professional camera crew to follow me at all times and be responsible for uploading their footage

Really, really hope this works. For those who haven't a clue what I'm wittering on about this is my rising 5yo 17hh potential
smirk.gif
eventer (should have been an actual eventer by now, except that his first event today was cancelled
frown.gif
) doing our Riding Club Area team qualifier where he jumped a double clear.

It's far from perfect, but I have had to watch this s*dding video about 546 times in the last few days whilst trying to upload it to my computer so I have a fair idea now where I'm going wrong! Obviously sensible CC will be appreciated
wink.gif

It's very slow and jerky on PB for me, though my computer is currently working at snail's pace. Those who know me can probably view it better on FB.

He looks fantastic
grin.gif

NO CC from me as that would be a little hypocritical given I spent the morning being very defensive whilst trying to stop a 13.2 in a prelim test
blush.gif
) Fingers crossed he'll be an 'eventer' soon!

Ooooh, oooh, oooh. Does that mean that it works??
grin.gif

I'm just currently being very pleased that I don't have a horse whose first initial is X. Or Z. Or Q..... etc. Even my alliteration knows some bounds!
wink.gif

Don't be too harsh on the cameraman, it was on a mobile. Sorry if it's jerky, it's fine on the original and not too bad on FB, I'm all out of solutions now!
frown.gif

Yes, I am blatantly after the alliteration prize but fear I will be pipped at the post by Baydale, who has first dibs on one of the easiest letters of the alphabet. Damn her!

No I don't mean jerky because of the cameraman - it's my rubbish laptop. The hamsters must need more grub ......
smirk.gif

Wasn't jerky for me - played like a dream first time

Hard to believe he's only rising 5, he jumped great in that arena which seemed v big and atmospheric.

Fiona

I've got two excuses:

1. No regular cameraman or videoing equipment. There just happened to be someone there with a fancy phone (mine doesn't even take pictures so the mind boggles!)
2. 4 days of playing with the computer, trying to download/upload from FB, downloading some dodgy software that claimed it could do the job in seconds
mad.gif
but has merely reduced my computer to a quivering wreck, then trying to download from the original memory stick then finally having to get someone round to help
blush.gif
(and I had to pay her in wine!
mad.gif
) has left my hair ever so slightly grey. I will not be repeating the experiment in the near future for fear of increased hairdressers' bills!

Yeah! Go Fugly!! He is sooo nice, lovely rhythm (gah have I spelt that right?) and such a good attitude, apart from the refusing to stand quietly for studs of course
smirk.gif

Agree with Chloe - the fan club is hilarious! No wonder he has a huge ego and is upset when not winning ribbons due to stupid teammates

If you come to any events I'm at this year (looking more likely to be a spectator than a competitor!) I'll try to video him for his fans

Yes Fiona. So atmospheric that Carthorse (remember him?) spent more time there practising fancy dressage moves than jumping leaving me in rather closer contemplation of their posh new surface than I'd anticipated

. I must have BSJA'd him there 10 times. Got dropped 9 times and won a Disco (with Ellen Whitaker in it!) the remaining time.

Fugs, luckily, is far too young and naive to have any such hang ups

Very nice GB. He looks like he`s into it already, ryhthm, striding, bold, nice little man too... took it all in his stride.
p.s. Video was very clear and played through first time.
So thumbs up from me...
smile.gif

Sorry, I'm being rubbish at replying to people and have no semblance of an order here. You've all been very kind. Phew!
crazy.gif
. Don't be afraid to hold back if you've anything negative to say, he's got a big enough head to take the odd knock! (not sure about mine though
crazy.gif
)

Chloe_GHE - No-one usually cheers my rounds! However because it was RC teams we had a huge entourage. I may be booking them for future competitions because it gives you much more of a boost than the usual one man and a dog muttering 'well done'
wink.gif

n_l_m - I promise that if we ever compete properly oop north then you've got the 'professional video operator' gig, though it's not very well paid
tongue.gif

Madhector - they were a wee bit on the small side. Some were a nice height, the double was disproportionately small. I think he's fine to jump a bit bigger now, just wanted to get the basics in place first
laugh.gif
If the snow plays ball we'll do a BN and Disco this week.

BD - very kind of you not to remind me about my canter!
smirk.gif
. I think he's probably the ultimate 'yeah, whatever' horse, and a welcome change after the last one. Give him time though, he's bound to develop some sort of neurosis....

He looks lovely, but you need to go and jump something bigger now!

We have been doing, I promise. Just with it being the RC qualifiers there was no choice over height
