It's been a bit of a struggle but I've had the physio out for Dylan as his current saddle was slipping, I stopped using that and had the saddler out today.

Turns out he's a wide boy so I now have two saddles the wrong size!?

But happily she left something for me to ride in that I really like while she looks for something that may be more suitable.

Pointless post really but it's been a struggle trying to find something that fits us both I'm just very happy!

On another note where is the best place to sell second hand saddles (gp and dressage)?

That is great, nothing more frustrating than saddle problems!!

most people seem to be just putting them on ebay and either just taking what they can get or putting a reserve on and hoping

Definitely not a pointless post:) I have 3 saddles that don't fit satisfactorily so I can fully understand why you are so happy.
IMHO second hand saddles don't seem to be selling very well at the moment. I have an immaculate Stubben VSD DL, which cost me £1200, and I'll be lucky if I get £300/£400 for it:eek:

Ouch that is a price drop! I may just give sell them to a tack shop as she buys second hand and I know she's short of stock at the mo,cut my losses and be done with it scene as they are starting to clog up the tack room!

That's a good idea, I wonder how much commission they would take and where would I stand if they went bust?
The tack room is a bit damp and musty, so my saddles are in our bedroom on saddle stands:D

Some take hideous commission but our local one is very reasonable. If they have there own saddle fitter there they might well know of someone that's looking for what you have so are more likely to get a good price for it... Worth asking.

Thanks DFD:) I will definitely nip into local tack shop and see what they have to say:)
