after 2 courses of sarcoid cream and some lamb rings, my boy's sarcoid finally decided to die a death and had fallen off yesterday!
i first noticed it 2 years ago and it was very small then so we weren't sure if it was a sarcoid as it was just like a pea had been pushed under his skin.
last summer it had definitely grown (was about half a boiled egg size) and we tried herbal remedies over the winter which just seemed to make it red and angry and a lot worse.
so in april this year we had the first treatment of sarcoid cream which made his sheath swell to elephant proportions and was very sore
didn't seem to have much affect so he had another course about 6 weeks ago and had a lamb ring applied. it started shrinking but was still hanging on grimly so 3 weeks ago another lamb ring was applied.
i noticed last week that the base was starting to detach and was so tempted to rip the thing off but resisted
went down yesterday and had a quick look before i fly sprayed him and it had gone!
i am so happy as it feels like we have been battling with it forever!
i would also like to say to anyone with a horse with a sarcoid- please don't think they will go of their own accord or that you can treat with any homopathic remedies.
i only wish we had gone down this route 2 years ago when we probably could have banded it without needing any cream- this is certainly what we will do if any more show up.
