FINALLY HOME... Thank you for the vibes (self indulgent.)

ITs a boring theme I know, but do give yourself plenty of time to recover, it will be worth it in the long run, I am a person who has pushed through the pain barrier one too many times, and now my body is starting to hate me for it. Cold damp days, and aching bones and muscles!
Look after yourself and take it easy xx

My God

your scan pictures are scary, wishing you a very speedy recovery. Good thing you are young and should heal quickly

You've done really well already to be out of hospital so soon. Hope the physio isn't too horrible and here's wishing you a speedy recovery

Glad you are home and on the mend. You did a good job! We horse riders dont like to do things in half measures do we!!!

Good luck with a speedy recovery.

Just think, you can spend all day on the forum!

Lifeslemons, I'm glad you are on your way to recovery and getting your life back. Whatever you do don't push yourself too hard when you do get back in the saddle, there is always another season and best you be fit for another than fit for none.
I'm really surprised that you should be back riding again in 12-15 weeks, I thought it would be much longer than that. I've just had an op on my hip and that was just repairing cartilage and the like, not bones and I won't be back for 12-16 weeks!!!
I'm here willing the time to go past with you

OMG, look at that CAT scan.
I can't even start to imagine the pain

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery

Thanks for the comments guys. Went to see the horses today. They all looked so well and raring to go! Hennessy looks like he could jump round a 2* no probs!

Llfield... the doctors say that because I'm young it should heal (fairly) quickly- not implying you're old!! *digs frantically out of hole.* They were more concerned by my pelvis and that the blood supply hadn't been affected. Think in this case nature *should* sort my hips out. Good luck with your recovery too.

V glad to hear you are ok - Mat_b and I were going to try and get up to see you in the hospital, but I have had the week from hell so just did not happen.

However, if you need entertaining at home, I need some escape from my soap-opera of a life, so we'd be doing each other a favour?!

O M G!!! I had no idea you had been so badly injured!! That's a CAT scan to be proud of! So glad you are home now hun! Hope your rehab goes exactly to plan if not better!!!

Glad you're home and in some sort of comfort!!
If it helps at all, a friend of mine broke her back badly at the start of her Jr season and was in a body cast for a long time.. she went on to make subsequent (sp?) Jr and YR teams.. so don't give up home yet.. yes this season will be pretty much down the drain!! but there are many more to come, and am sure you'll be out kicking arse in no time!!

Glad you're home and on the mend. Hopefully you'll be back riding soon. My sister rupured her knee ligaments on Wednesday so she's off riding for months too. I expect you'll be back on board before she is!

Tom so pleased you are home, Ellie has been giving me updates, music requests etc. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I haven't read all the replies but remember: the latest must-have for medal-winning U21 members is a horrific early-season injury. Just think of Libbey Soley and Nicola Wilson last year.... Bodes well if you ask me

.

Seriously, I think if I were in your shoes I'd be pretty shaken up about getting back on a horse when the time comes. Maybe if you think it might niggle at you see a sports psychologist or a hypnotherapist whilst you have this time on your hands - all the more chance of turning in a winning performance at Chepstow then! Best of luck anyway, good thing you're only a whippersnapper and should mend fast!
