Hi all

Went to Tweseldown today for the first XC schooling of the year. My mission to do that dredded novice coffin which keeps catching me out

Warmed up well and worked our way around the course, but missed the coffin and played in the water first doing the log one stride drop in and then came into the water from the other side over the hanging log on the slope, had one stop first and trainer said I was trying to set up toooooo much so foot off the brake next time toes out and gave a bit of a kick and jumped in great and once more for luck

So on the back of that off to the coffin, jumped the running water ditch on its own then the ditch to angled log and finally all three parts together and blow me down she jumped it first time

I can now retire and never jump again, thats how happy I feel after being the big E three times in the novice

Well done! I hope you looked at it afterwards and wondered what all the fuss was. Can't remember whose sig it is but "what's in the brain goes down the reins" is very true! Personally I think if you jumped the one at Firle that is hugely more offputting than Tweseldown's.

Its so true, I think I have made it the problem, need to think positive now and remember we can jump it

Saf defo picks up on me, for a tough old bird she tries to portray she is really a sensitive sole
