So from the 19th November Vardi will only be a 10 minute journey from home as opposed to the hour's drive I have now to get to the trainers yard.
Well I've booked the transport, ordered a bag of feed from the trainer so we can swop him slowly onto the new regime and just been out and bought a bargain basement fleece rug for him to travel in (so he does not spend the whole hour and a half journey slowly destroying one of his decent ones!).
I have decided that I will go straight to the new yard and wait for his arrival, the lady transporting him has done so on many occasions and he knows and trusts her plus I think having his worry wort owner being neither use nor ornament when there are four people there to load him ( and he has always simply shot up the ramp on every other occasion) is pointless.....add to that last time he travelled I drove behind him and had a heart attack everytme he re-balanced for corners I think I will take the chill out route of driving to the new yard have a relaxing cup of coffee and be the one that unloads him and welcomes him to his new home.
So fingers crossed and major vibes please as last time I booked transport to take him home the little bugger injured himself delaying things by 4.5 months!
