Finally! My new boy is here!

good enough...thats how 100's are bought and sold
Well, that's not how I sell. If I put a photo in the ad, I don't feel the need then to describe how the horse looks like, I kind of assume that if people READ the ad, they are not blind and can see for themselves :)
But enough about me...
OP, you have a stocky chap there, good luck with him :)

nice heavy sort.......

but his front pastern axis is shocking TBH.

i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't suffer from front end lameness probs..

try to keep him lean..just in case.

Do you need glasses?
I really can't see anything horrific? Yes his pasterns 'appear' a little sloping, but I am willing to bet (having an ISH of the fluffy legged variety), he has a ring of fluff just above the coronet band which give the illusion of more sloping than there actually is.
If not then I bow to your superior knowledge

BTW OP he looks rather 'erm' HUGE!!!!!!! but lovely!

I for one couldn't give two hoots about his pasterns! :p I think he looks delightful and will be a total looker when the summer comes and he is all shiny and yum. In fact, I might "borrow" him, even with his "shocking" front pastern axis... ;)

I wish you many many years of happiness together. Sounds like he's come to a lovely home!

still doesnt detract from the fact his confo isnt great tho, does it?

I've seen much worse conformation and even if she had asked for CC IMO I think you could have worded your opinion in a more constructive way.

She was on a high having just had delivery of her new horse and wanted to enjoy the moment.

Thanks :) I've seen pictures of him in his summer coat (when he was in work as well) and he was gorgeous. But maybe i'm biased ;)

I'd better not say too much more about the location of his new yard though!!

Hah, a wise decision! :p

On a side note, you could eat a hundred packets of biscuits and never feel bad because he could probably carry two of you without noticing. Does it say something about me that I love that about huge horses? :D

Trish, I#m sure you'll have a great time with him and I'm looking forward to seeing him when he's lost his winter woolies!

He's lovely, I hope you have a great time with him :D

I must be blind, because I see nothing wrong with his pasterns, in fact nothing jumps out as being a problem. He looks nicely put together x
Probably why the vet had no issues ;)

I wasn't going to bother with this thread after the harsh comments started to get banded about and the i thought no b*****ks to it i will , I think your new boy is fab and as for his pasterns they are fine if he's anything like my id x tb ( reg ish ) then you'll be like the cat that got the cream. If we all bowed to the opinions of false and narrow hearted poeple this world would be a sad place , love your horse for what he is , and he'll give you years of pleasure.

Ignore the troll!

I think he is absolutely gorgeous and if the vet was happy well then, that says it all really doesn't it!

Cant wait to see the pics of him once you have him in work :)

Absolutely gorgeous, HUGE, boy! I love him already, and it would be great to see more photos of him, especially in the summer!

Ignore the pastern doom and gloom! He looks fine to me, your vet thought he was fine and you will have years of fun with him!

Trish, he`s lovely, such a kind eye...your going to have YEARS and YEARS of fun with him :D
I`m sure if his shockingly bad pasterns were so shockingly bad your vet would have mentioned it but hey he didnt so nice bit of middle finger to the rude obnoxious and I`m guessing probably jealous troll :)

Keep us updated with lots of photos!!!! Enjoy your new boy xx:)

Congratulations - he looks fab.

I have a ISH out of a mare by Clover Hill too, but the stallion was full TB so he looks quite different, but my god can he jump!

You'll have plenty of fun with him i'm sure :)

Aww he's got the loveliest face. Just makes me feel like giving him a great big hug. [I'd probably scare the wits out of him :D]

He's wintered out well, so bet he's going to look gorgeous in summer when he's got his summer coat on and you've got him working.

Best of luck with him :)

wow he is a big boy! nothing like the polo ponies i'm used too lol! good luck with him, he looks like a nice tyype, very kind...and looks like he is right at home already!

He's lovely, hope you have loads of years of fun with him, he'l be very pretty once his summer coat comes through and look great once he's fittened up, i have an ID cross who's chesnut too, he's a big gentle giant.

Can someone explain how to post pictures please? Interested to see what people think of my horsey.

If you would just kindly PM me your yard name & postcode so I can sneak down in the middle of the night and 'Acquire' him :)

I love chunky monkeys :)
