The last while has been a little weird: I keep getting moved from field to field, and the Carrot Lady hasn't been riding me much, either. Instead, she makes me do the thing where I go around her in circles, and then she makes faces, and asks people if they agree I'm "not sound". What does she mean? I'm a pretty quiet pony normally, but I do make sounds on occasion, like when I see my friends!
A few days ago, the Hoof Lady came and did her thing, and then she was putting these weird rubber things on my feet. It was really strange walking in them at first, and they laughed at me! They said I was practising for the Ministry of Silly Walks. I don't know what that is, but I'm not sure I'm cut out for the religious life. I'm a Catholic pony, and they're Church of Scotland around here, I think.
Then I went in the pony jail again, but it was ok, because my friend that has the moon on his face was there too, and we get on pretty well.
He hollers a lot when I get taken out, poor guy---he's not very bright. Despite the moon.
Today, I had to do the circle thing too, but I had my saddle on, and the Carrot Lady put the strange hoof-things on me, and then she got on and we went OUT!!! It was great!
Another horse came along too, although he was a bit bargy and didn't like puddles. We went past where the raspberries are (I didn't get to eat any this time, though), and then we went past where the scary flags are and the people that hit little white balls with sticks, and then we went in the forest---I wanted to run really fast, but the Carrot Lady wouldn't let me. She said we have to walk for a week. Is she crazy?
On the way home, we went past the scary bit with the red flag, and I had to go ahead, because the big horse didn't like the flag.
I kept a close eye on it, but it didn't make any sudden moves in our direction, so we were safe.
Back home, I got brushed with a new brush: it's great, because it's extra scratchy. I made long-neck-wibbly-face, to let her know how nice that was.
Then, I got put back in the pony jail with Moonface---who was very happy to see me back safe and sound---and I got a carrot! And he didn't!
