Finally rode!

Yay finally sat on my boy for the first time in 3 weeks! Took him out to end of the lane and back and he was a star, then played and splashed through the big puddles in the school!

Its good to be back riding and think my horse thought so too!

Now to find him the home he deserves!

Ah you're so lucky!!! I cant wait to ride mine its been nearly 4 weeks as its been too slippy to go out on him!!

Cant wait and hope the ice and snow is going go this this!! xx

Lucky you! It's so hard to find the motivation to ride in this weather but once your on board it's definitely worth it.

oh no i thought most others could also ride not good - although where I am we tend to get off lightly with the weather.

Yay, must feel great

It's rained the last 2 days and the snow is slowly washing away so there is a slim chance i may be able to get on tomorrow. I was going to ride in the snow, but he's been such a pillock when lunging or anything i've not really felt motivated when i know we are not going to get any decent work done. It's far too icy to get down the drive out of the yard yet.

I managed to ride this afternoon as well although I only had to wait 2 weeks. It was pouring with rain and one end of the school was still covered with snow but I didn't care I was getting back on board I lunged George first and he was like a donkey in walk and trot, but he did have a few yeah ha moments when we cantered! I then got on and just walked and trotted and he was fine, a bit looky - but then as you could barely see past the end of his nose with the fog I think he can be forgiven

It was certainly a great feeling though although the return of the mud is a definate downside................but better that than not being able to ride.
