Yay! My ex has just agreed to pay livery for my young horse for the next 6 months, either at current yard or somewhere new if I have to move areas. :)
I'm so relieved, it by no means sorts all my problems but at least I have time to get him properly going again without rushing, so that he can find the home he deserves. Or who knows, maybe in 6 months I will be able to keep him myself.
The other thing that makes this a proper turning point is I will now be able to enjoy my time with him again, instead of feeling guilty or upset. The time in the day I spend up the yard has always been my relaxation and stress relief, recently its been one of the most stressful parts of the day. Hopefully I will feel better about everything else and more relaxed now that my horsey time with Fred is happy time again! :D

Very happy for you, what a weight off your mind along with everything else. 6 months is a long time and hopefully by then you will be all sorted and life will be alot better for you.

YEY!! and WOOOOO!!!

That's very decent of him and at least it gives you a bit of breathing space. I'm sure you'll come up with a plan in that time.

That's good news, you deserve a break. What about the other 2, did you manage to dsort something for them?

No not yet :(
There is still time though.
The plan at the moment is still pts, which I have come to terms with as the best thing if I can't find a miracle solution in the mean time. I'm happy with the life I have given them and the pair of them this year have had a wonderfully happy year together being horses, with me still waiting on them hand and foot in a very happy retirement. If that is the last days they have, I will be happy in the knowledge they were good ones and I gave them more than many would. The pony is 30, not without health probs, we may have made the decision in the autumn anyway. My mare, is only 16 but has a problem in her knee that will only degenerate over time, she is unlikely to have many years pain free. Perhaps, whether I like it or not it is the best thing I can do for them, certainly if I cannot keep them myself.

Yay most definitely!! That is a bit of good news! I know you still have difficult decisions to make, but that's one less for now!

Nice that you can go back to enjoying time with young Fred....:)

Yes it is great news. This afternoon was so lovely to be up the yard, merrily chatting and enjoying my horse again. As a consequence my mood this evening has been much better too. We all need a little down time to be able to keep going, I havn't really had any for a few weeks, it makes all the difference in helping you feel stronger and saner! I feel like the next few weeks although still tough, will be a little easier just for the fact I have my R&R time back to keep me going. :)
