Hey everyone, tiny bit of backround (wont bore you) my horse had a recurring injury that kept him out of work from August-November (2012) and then again Jan-April (2013) so i really couldnt imagine the day we,d be out competing again!



Last Friday we set off to our first riding club showjumping comp, bear in mind iv never jumped him on a grass track, so i started with the advanced primary class out of comp because my grade is Intermediate, he went fantastically we had our first double clear ever :D

Then we went on to jump in the intermediate class were we went clear and then came 2nd in the jump off and fourth in the league which had been going on for three weeks!!! I couldnt have been happier... Just before we left the judge announced another prize for best round of the day and I won that aswell!! :eek:

I hope this doesnt seem like an over indulgent post but after we,ve been through in the last few months and i was so nervous on the day i didnt even want to go!! delighted with him, he was a star!!

Thank you! :) yes were going to Stradbally tomorrow for the weekend to the Riding Club festival, So exciting!! it,ll be our first little holiday with some jumping on the saturday, hope to get out and do a few ODEs soon, feel like my riding club membership has been wasted until now! :rolleyes:
 
Nice to see a horse so keen for the job, looks like u are both enjoying it to the max there :)

Good luck at next event, it's a nice feeling when the are able to compete again after a long injury time
 
Thank you so much! He really loves it doesnt he, he was mainly hunted before i bought him, but i think he adores the showjumping these days :)
