So some of you may remember that I had my newly purchased dressage saddle stolen last October. At the time it seemed like there was no hope of seeing it again, I foolishly hadn't taken down the serial number and it had been within the 14 day exclusion policy of our insurance as I'd only just added it when it was taken so no hope of being able to replace it without having to save hard again. Fortunately we had a pretty good idea of who was responsible and in January my saddle was finally seized and driven back to our local police station for me to ID. Positively identified I've patiently waited for news as our first dressage test of the year looms. Finally I heard from the police last night that the CPS feel there's enough evidence to take this person to court. I'm a weird mix of emotions right now, relieved that after so long we may finally get justice, saddened that someone I considered to be a friend could do this to me and just a little bit grumpy that it's not likely I'll get my saddle back until the end of summer.
