Finally!!

Yesterday evening I finally took my girl out for a hack, the first time in nearly eighteen months. In between times I have had a baby, moved house and nearly died from swine flu. She is not the safest conveyance at times but she was great last night and seemed to be enjoying it as much as i did. She has been lunged and long lined but it has taken me a long time to get my nerve up to get on again. Now I can't wait to go again!

Just a bit of a pat on my own back I know but four months ago when I was in intensive care this seemed very far away!

Thanks for that guys. We had a lovely ride out this evening for a while enjoying the countryside. When I left hospital I was too weak to get out of the car without help and very weak down my left side, so doing this seemed impossible! I still have a few problems but they'll improve in time hopefully.

Certainly very glad to be back in the saddle!
