I haven't been enjoying schooling Elvis. The whole time I've been fixated with the thought that something isn't quite right, but the vet insisted that I school him and build up his fitness and strength before going down the route of a bute trial.
Today for the first time he actually felt okay, almost good at times, and I got off with a smile on my face.
So maybe, just maybe all the hacking, lunging and schooling is falling into place and perhaps it is just a case of a big gangly baby who had no strength.
