My potential new horse failed his vetting today... gutted.
I am looking for a new horse and don't have the budget for what I want and I know it! (Just had to sell me previous horse for £1 to good home due to sacroiliac problem. Hence scraping the barrel). If I can't find anything, I will wait. But I'm feeling so down, if anyone here would like to do some horse hunting that would be great. Found 1 possibilty just now, rang it and her 1st sentance was it has sidebone!!! Great!! I appreciate the honesty but has thrown me into deeper depair.
My budget is £2500
15.2hh - 16.2hh (really would like 15.3-16.1!!) reason for height is so my husband can plod around on it
ISH, or that type and temperament. NO TB/ARABS.
4-8 yrs. Must be broken, but can be green as daisies (this is what I'm willing to compromise on)
no greys (lost horse last year to melanomas and really can't go through it again)
pref gelding. Would have to be exceptional temp to be a mare. I don't think I gel with them
Temperament is top of my list. Must be quiet and kind (doesn't have to be a doppy sane and sensible. Just not irratic) to handle. Must move ok as I do BD (although only have Elem ambitions really so doesn't have to float!). Must pass vetting!
Willing to travel around southern half of country.
Personally I think I need to save another £1000. But feel free to prove me wrong!
