I'm trying to find a replacement rug for my heavyweight cob. It needs to be mediumweight (220-250g), half neck and at least 1000 denier - and preferably under £80! Can anyone recommend anything? I've trawled the internet and cant find something suitable.

For my heavy weight cob I now use a Mark Todd rug. i went a size larger then normal and it fits really nice. very pleased with it and I got it in a sale!!!
i won't buy on line because Ffin is so difficult to fit, bulky but short. this rug seems to work for him.
 
I need a 6'3". Although I also need something similar for my elderly welshie who needs a 4'9". And if I find something at the right price I may be tempted to replace the rugs the 5'9" and 6'0" ponies are wearing too. Not that I have a rug buying fetish at all LOL
 
Give Rachel at Hertford Horse Bits a call. She normally has a good selection at bargain prices if you don't mind end of ranges/last year's stock. Get all my rugs from her
 
You might be lucky and find one in the Premier Equine sale. I'm really impressed with their rugs having previously only used Rambo. I find them true to size and are nice and deep.
