hi. ok. so have been looking for a decent groom for a while now! no, im not overly fussy, although i do have a stallion who comes competing a lot so i want someon competant! i've found that if i advertise on the web, i only get people who have only been riding a little while, or who just dont sound competant enough!!! im toying with the idea of putting a ad in H&H but with all the other ads in there - am worried it wont even be noticed!!! where can i find a decent groom - we are offering a good wage, accommodation, riding and competing if desired an a fun friendly yard to work on!!!!!! any ideas where i can find this elusive groom!!???

I think if you have a groom looking for that sort of job they will be looking at all the job vacancies and im sure they wont miss it.

Pay a little extra for it to be highlight - or make the title bold

where abouts are you based.I know of a couple of people who may be what you are after.One is a bit of a know all but is a great rider and the other is a young girl who wanted to go to Hadlow but couldn't get on the HND course she wanted but rides at our yard bringing on the horses with problems and is quite competant and willing to learn.
 
I'm on career grooms too, and got most of my work through them, am now on the mailing list only just in case anything crops up!
Trouble is good grooms can pick and choose, seems there aren't that many experienced, been there done that grooms out there at the moment!
