Finding A Horse To Ride??

Hello All,

As you may or may not know ive been riding the same horse for 2 years now, and doing quite well @ BSJA.

Just wondered how easy you think it would be to find another horse to ride - not specifically meaning to compete but to maybe ride once or twice a week, and how i could go about it?

Feel like im going quite stale

Word of mouth is how I've gotten all my rides so tell everyone at your yard that you're interested in riding another horse and people like your trainer, etc. Always a good place to start and it's free! And then like others have suggested tack shops etc

Hi i PM'd u back but it isnt in my aent messages so dont know if you got it (i've not been on here very long). If you could PM me the postcode so i could look up how long it would take it may be possible in a couple of weeks when i will be driving. Its only 20 mins down the motorway to stockport but depends how far from the junction...
Thankyou very much though, best offer i've had so far!

Agree huge shortage of rides in the North West, Cheshire area. Ive been looking for ages and word of mouth not worked for me either

Depends where you are. I put an ad up online and had something in my signature on here and I had 3 offers in probably as many weeks. I now regularly ride two lovely horses

hi there maybe a grey 16h 4yo mare that needs a confident rider in the blackpool area, but the person needs transport to shows!

i think it really depends on area. Im lucky enough to have unlimited access to my best friends horse but hes a bit mad and i do fear for my life some times!

i've never seen any1 advertise for riders up here (north east), its all down south.

Sods law says the right horse is always in the wrong area.

I've been looking for another horse to compete for some time. Despite having my own lorry for transport and being happy to do BD, BSJA or BE as yet I haven't found one.
The ride on the ginger one came from an add I put up in local tack shop.
