Anyone else just can't find anything? I have been looking for months, thought I had found the perfect one - 1 mile from my house, sounded like a fun ride, close to good hacking, and facilities so I could ride when dark in the winter months. Meant to be going to try out at 3pm today, but owner just text me saying shes found someone at the yard who wants to share him. Rubbish!

I don't mind if the horse/pony is not a novice ride, and im willing to do chores etc. I just don't want to be travelling 20 miles to ride, as its just not worth the petrol money. Anyone have any ideas of where I can look, seem to exhausted everything now!

I;m having the opposite problem, cant find anyone who wants a pony to share/loan. I thought no-one can afford to be taking more horses on.

I'm having the same problem Hatters!

Looking for similar to you but in Derby. There's either nothing around or there a nutter!

you could always look in village shops...quite often i see owners advertising for shares/etc

or even in equine food merchants...tack shops

i think alot of people are finding it hard with the credit crunch

good luck

I am having the opposite up north here, advertised sensible cob for share, as my youn shire needs riding, only got responses from kids that need teaching and supervising!
