So, after 4 months horseless, I was getting desperate to ride and looking for a share somewhere very local. Kinda thought it would be fruitless because I didn't want to travel very far, and I dont even have a car at moment anyway.
So I get chatting to lady who used to rent a stable off me, then took on the yard when I left. Turns out she's been left in the lurch and desperately seeking a new livery!
I want my yard back now

And I can afford to keep a horse, so I figured I'd have a scan about for a loan. I just can't avoid the temptation any longer!

So question is - where's the best place to look? I've tried Adtrader, horsemart, newrider to no avail

I'm not too picky about the horse, in fact a little project would be great, perhaps something that needs bringing back into work. Or I'd even be happy with a hack/ light schooling oldie. I don't enjoy jumping

Any ideas???

When I was looking I googled horses for loan east anglia (not sure where you are located but enter the region) a site came up I think it was called new horse. You could try that site and I think world of horses have loans section.Hope you find something Ill try and remember other sites I used.Good luck

The yellow advertiser had several adds this week, ill have a look when i get home tonight if i still have it and then can scan the page to you if that might help

i have one, PM me if you want. lovely big lad, ex-eventer, not allowed to jump due to old tendon injuries, but 100% sound and fine. he's chucked out nannying the babies at the mo, but i occasionally bring him in and stick a saddle on and he's good as gold. he is big though, so if you're 5' you might not be able to chuck his rugs on!

Did you know that ad trader have loans on daily on site .I managed to get the mare I still have for my daughter within 2 hours of her going online. If you wait for paper you might miss out.You can put your postcode in then do 25 mile radius search.

Something between 14.2 and 16.2 and capable of carrying me

5'6" and 10.7stone
Age not relevant, not adverse to quirks, but nothing completely nutty!
Only requirements - Must be reasonable to hack out on small roads with a little traffic and horseboxes (there's loads around here) and not get overexcited when seeing other horses in fields (there's lots of them too!).
Quite happy to school something on over the summer, then give back before i get married in October. But would consider long term/ perm loan for right horse

Small private yard with 24hr turnout in summer, and I live next door
