... is currently giving me a headache! Happy to travel half way across the country if needs be, but just can't seem to find any for sale!

Has anybody else experienced this?

Starting to wonder if the only way of getting my hands on one is to buy one new (ouch!).

Anybody who has one - how did you find yours? Have been looking on eBay, on regional FB 'for sale' groups, freeads, preloved... no joy yet.

:(

I searched all last summer and finally found an immaculate bearly used 401 classic at a dealership, only to discover it was only another £200 for a new one as they are like rocking horse poo they hold their value. I opted for a new one and had a 6 week wait and picked it up a week before xmas and the 401 was sold that week as a surprise christmas pressie for someones two daughters, lucky girls!

Crikey! Can I ask how much the dealership had the 401 listed for? Maybe I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one... hubby won't be best pleased! A pal of mine waited 8 months to find hers, can't really do with waiting that long really!

I had to persuade the previous owner to emigrate! I used to borrow same trailer, adn had always had first refusal on it if they ever sold, so when they emigrated I got a bank loan. Apparently they were fending off mums at Pony Club rallies trying to buy it from the day word got out they were emigrating!
Love it dearly, it's so easy to hitch, manouevre, tow, and wide enough I can tack up inside if it's raining! Now have a youngster as well though, so at some point will need to swap to a double, but then I'll have to swap car too (I have an older Nissan XTrail which is marvellous towing the 401 but not legal for a double), so really can't afford to do that.
If I win the lottery big time on Saturday and can suddenly afford bigger car, trailer and /or lorry, you can have my 401 OP... as long as you promise to be nice to it!

Dizzle, I travel a 15hh Connemara. He is a good traveller anyway, in a double or a lorry too, but travels very well in this and it tows really nicely with him. Occasionally get other being a bit sniffy because its 'one of those skinny single trailers that always tip over' but actually the Ifor's aren't tall thin singles like the European ones, they are apparently designed for a mare and foal so nice and roomy. Love it!

Picked my secondhand one today and px'd my 510. Thanks Polldark kept googling and trawling and found one an hour away at a Ifor dealer:) . Op there is one in Nottingham for £2250 and one in Norfolk for £2700 I have found on my travels. Also one in Scotland on ebay!

I've just bought the one in Scotland. I'm hoping it's as good as it looks and that my mare travels well in it. Otherwise, I'll be selling it. Hope you find one OP. I know the feeling. I've hunted for ages.

I got mine through an ad in H&H about 6 or so years ago. It was second hand, and we only travelled an hour to pick it up. Great thing was, it had only been used a very small amount of times.
I Love it, really can't fault it.

Hi

I have an Igor 401 in good used condition coming up for sale in a week or two, my horse hates it and will now only travel in a 510!!

We are in Huddersfield

my classic black ifor 401 is also up for sale come monday! - I have now found a little auto horsebox so my fabby little trailer thats done me proud will be up for sale!!!!

I got mine new as the second hand ones really weren't that much cheaper and I figured that I'd rather spend the extra few hundred quid and have something new. Really glad I did. It was lovely going to collect it and everything having that 'new' feeling!

I bought mine new as it was my first trailer and didn't want to mess around finding one, checking condition or if it was stolen etc.

I am frequently the only person at shows with one, so when I see another one I am really excited :o. I don't know why more people don't have them really.

Best of luck with your hunt!

I know this is an old thread now, but does anyone know of any ifor single trailers for sale? Ive looked all over the internet and nothing comes up. Thanks x

Thanks Rog. I already contacted her but the trailer has now been sold to a dealership. I am going to ring the dealership in the morning but wanted to keep looking in case I have no luck..

Hello,

If you are in the south east, there was a 401 for sale on N.F.E.D ad 75476. Ad put there in may but still active.
