I'm looking to find the British Dressage details on one particular horse, i.e is she affiliated or not, where she's been, placings or anything i can find out.

Does anyone know how i can search for this without being a BD member??

It depends when she was registered, until recently a change of name was allowed for affiliated disciplines, I think they still allow a prefix to be added if it is a single name on the passport. You need to ask the owners for her registered competition name.

The other thing is that they may have competed HC in which case no records will be shown. Prelims are also unrecorded on the website.

Most venues put results on their own sites so if you know where the horse is likely to have competed you can search through the results and you may get lucky, search for the rider too as they may come up using the stable name at unaff comps. Googling horse and rider can bring up results if they are on a site somewhere.

Mine had a name change in 2008, and all his previous results are there with his newer name, even though he was called something else then. As long as you have the horses registered name, you should be able to see all results.

You can get information over the phone via the appropriate department at Stoneleigh too

Email the membership people, they are very helpful. They will tell you if the horse is registered, but just hasn't won any points.
