Finding bridle paths

Hi

We are looking to relocate right out of the area (South East to Norfolk) we are pretty flexible in the area we move to but are hoping to acquire enough land to keep horse plus companion at home, before we treck a long distance to look at a property I would like to know exactly what hacking out is available locally beyond asking the estate agent, Is there a resource where I can enter a postcode or area and get an idea of common land/bridle paths etc or is it a case of getting ordinance survey maps?

I tend to just use OS maps, if you go on Bing.com there is an OS option. It's a bit old fashioned but none of the other things are as comprehensive

Go to the County Council website and put in Definitive Map or Rights of Way, the map showing bridlepaths in each parish should come up.

You could always telephone the local BHS bridlepath person, number would be in the BHS yearbook, and they would have local knowledge.

There are some toll rides in the eastern counties too, East Anglian Farm Rides.

I use this, don't forgot to include other types of path you can ride on like BOATs and restricted byways. The Herts one has them all colour coded so it's really easy to read.
