Finding Land to rent 2-3 acres locally - HELP

I'm not to happy with the standard of local liverys and I desparately want to get my own land be it rented or to buy.

How much would it cost to rent 2-3 acres? How much would it be to buy? and lastly where would I find out about land? Theres nothing advertised in our local rag or the local feed merchants.

Depends where you are! we are paying £60 a week for 3 acres and three stables in east sussex. Would cost £40 to £50 thousand to buy.

Go into an estate agents, but make sure it is one that does farms, not just houses. There is usually a local firm that does the farm sales, etc., it won't necessarily be a big national one. Look in H & H for some ideas too. If you don't know any at all, ask at your feed merchants because I expect they would know.

Ask if they know of anything to rent or buy in your area. They will see £ signs, but also be aware that people are looking after their money now, so you may be able to get a bargain.

There is 4.34 acres forsale in the village near me and its up for £60000!!!!

I rent 4 acres and 4 stables in a barn for £325 a month. There is quite alot of yards like this around the area i live in and payed £140 for 2 stables 2 acres before. If you put a wanted add up that may help with renting if not just keep checking your local feed shop and websites probably.. No idea on buying prices though.
