Hello,
I have got a racing bred TB and would like to find out about her breeding. Can you search on BE for offspring of a stallion or have I imagined this? Mare is by Avonbridge and out of Mana Pools

Hi there,

your filly went through the DBS October sale as a yearling and made £1200 (in 2008) - she never raced as far as I can see - nor was she named with weatherbys?

Good luck

Thanks fro the info,
Is that a poor price? She is still unnamed in her passport so how would I go about searching for her? Or would I just search her parentage?

Iv hoped this might come about for a while, I cant imagine they are far off doing this as they seem to support breeding (listing stallion rankings etc) and showing breeding of registered horses, Im no IT geek but I cant imagine it would be tooo difficult to get the data into a format that is searchable...

I had the exact same thing with my tb gelding Maesfen on here found out all his info just from his microchip number. Maybe PM Maesfen??

Just looking through the post, wondered what information you were after really - were you looking for siblings, etc?

This is Avonbridge's page... http://www.whitsburymanorstud.co.uk/avonbrmain.htm

And the page that Maleman has posted the link for will have a lot of info regarding your filly's dam and racing siblings, you can see who sold her and from something like the Racing Post website you can see her breeder was also Mr Farr.

Thank You for all the info. The Doncaster bloodstock sales page is really useful. Just interested in what I could find out. It's good that all you clever people can find out so much info so quickly.
Had wondered i any of her siblings had come out of racing and done something else but seeing as sire is only 6 is unlikely!
Cookie is a failed racehorse and a failed polo pony probably due to her lovely laid back nature! So expect whoever bought her from the sales would be glad that they didn't pay much!
She likes jumping though!

She must of been sold out of training as she would have had to have been named if she had raced. If you enter the names of her siblings into the BE site if they had evented they would appear or alternatively try NED, but you do have to have a name.
